Roseville Area Middle School serves a student body of approximately 800 in grades 7 & 8. Students in 7th grade will be placed on one of the following teams; Pegasus, SuperNova, or Cosmos and students at the 8th grade level will be placed on Team Red Giant, Team Aquarius, or Team Dorado. Student hours are from 8:05 am to 2:40 pm.

Parents, please note:
The main doors of the school open at 6:50am and are locked daily at 3:30 pm. If you need to enter the building after that time, please use the gym lobby entrance located at the north end of the building.

RAMS PTSA Meets Monday, May 21st!
The RAMS PTSA will meet on Monday, May 21st from 7:00 - 8:30pm in the Media Center.

AVID Family Night
A reminder that the AVID family night will be Tuesday May 22, 2012 from 5:30-7:00pm for current AVID 7th and AVID 8th grade students and families. This event will take place in the RAMS media center.

RAMS Presidential Academic Excellence Awards Breakfast is Thursday, May 24th!
The RAMS Presidential Academic Excellence Awards breakfast will be this Thursday, May 24th, from 7:00am - 8:00am in the RAMS Cafeteria. Award winners and their parents are invited to attend.

No School On Friday, May 25th!
RAMS will have a Teacher Workshop Day on Friday, May 25th. There will be no school for students. School resumes on Tuesday, May 29th.

RAMS Music Department Presents Solo and Ensemble Night!
Our second solo and ensemble night of the year will be held on Thursday, May 31st at 7:00 pm in the band room.  Students will showcase their musical talents - come to hear string ensembles, piano and guitar pieces, vocal solos, harpists, flautists, and much more!  Join us for cookies and juice after the concert to celebrate the accomplishments of all of RAMS's talented young musicians!

AVID Center Recognizes Roseville Area Middle School as an AVID National Certified School
AVID: Advancement Via Individual Determination is a college preparatory program.
     The AVID classes (one 7th grade and one 8th grade) meet every day - all year. In this class students benefit by learning collaboratively, use critical thinking, have trained AVID college tutors come 2 times a week to run inquiry based groups, take field trips to colleges, take Cornell style notes in all classes, and need to maintain a 3.2 GPA once they are selected to be in the class. The AVID class is supportive yet has high expectations to prepare these students for college. Most of the RAMS teachers have been AVID trained and use AVID strategies within their classroom so the strategies and philosophy is used throughout so it benefits all of RAMS.
    In order for students to be considered for the AVID program they must meet one or more of the criteria: 1st generation to attend college, ethnicity not typically seen in 4 year colleges, free or reduced lunch program and special circumstances such as (single parent home, foster care, lives with grandparents,English not primary language spoken at home)
The AVID application for the 2012-2013 school year is now closed. Interviews took place March 19-23.
