Roseville Area School District has a variety of volunteer opportunities available for people or all ages. Please join us and experience firsthand our commitment to Quality Teaching and Learning for All.

We welcome volunteers from the greater community in addition to parents / guardians and other family members.



District Committees

District committees play important roles in supporting the district's mission of quality teaching and learning for all.  Committees rely on volunteers from the community.  If you are interested in serving on one or more of these committees, or would like more information, please contact your school office or the District Center at 651/635-1600.

  • Adult Learning Center Advisory Council - This committee meets quarterly as an advisory group for the Adult Learning Center.  Membership includes staff, students from the Adult Learning Center, and members of the business community.
  • Community Education Advisory Council - This committee provides guidance on all aspects of community education programs.  Members include parents, students, staff, community members, community education representatives, a school board member, and district administrators. 
  • District Curriculum Advisory Committee - The District Curriculum Advisory Committee (DCAC) reviews curriculum and assessment issues, providing feedback to the Assistant Superintendent for Teaching and Learning.  The council consists mostly of parents, as well as teachers and administrators.
  • Early Childhood Family Education-School Readiness Advisory Council - This committee offers advice and counsel to the Early Childhood and Family Education (ECFE) and School Readiness programs.  Committee membership includes parents, the ECFE manager, and a school board member.
  • Equity and Integration Advisory Council - This council advocates for the implementation of the district's Equity and Integration Plan.  For more information, please contact Pam Booker, Equity and Integration Coordinator, at 651/604-3748.
  • Friendship Connection Advisory Council - This committee meets in an advisory capacity to discuss issues and activities for Friendship Connection.  Committee membership includes parent representatives from each of the Friendship Connection sites and the Friendship Connection manager and meets six times a year from 6:30-8:00pm at the Fairview Community Center.
  • GEAR (Gender Equity in Athletic Review) Committee - This committee determines district compliance with Title IX.  Committee membership includes students, parents, teacher/coaches, administrators, and school board members.  This committee meets every other year and will meet again during the 2010 school year.
  • Gifted/Talented Advisory Council - This committee offers advice and counsel to the Gifted/Talented Program.  Members include parents, teachers, administrators, and the Gifted/Talented Coordinator.  For more information, please contact Mary Carlson Pap, Gifted/Talented Coordinator, at 651/604-3749.
  • North Suburban Senior Council - This council serves as an advisory committee to the Roseville Area Senior program.  They meet once per month to discuss programming for seniors.  Committee members include senior citizen representatives, one school board member, and district representatives.
  • Scholarship Committee - This committee recommends PTA Scholarship recipients.  Members include a district administrator, staff members, and representatives from each PTA.  For more information, contact Marilyn Auge at 651/635-1611.
  • Special Education Advisory Council - As required by Minnesota Statute, the Special Education Advisory Council advises the District Administration on matters related to the education of students with disabilities.  Parent members represent various categories of disability across Roseville Area School District buildings and grade levels.  Meeting dates and times are listed on the District Calendar and member contact information is included in building newsletters.
